Our work to protect citizen access to government records and meetings in Virginia never stop.

See what we’re working on.

We’re looking for heroes!

Do you know an someone who has worked tirelessly to inform the community? How about a reporter who has been using public information and attending public meetings to hold government officials accountable. Or maybe it’s someone in government who is going above and beyond to bring government to the people. Nominations are being accepted through the end of January and winners will be recognized at our 2026 annual conference in Norfolk.
